I removed the alluminum trim on the side of the windshield & the seal underneath was trash. It is not shown in any catalogues as as available weatherstripping or seal. What is it called & is it available?

Also, I wanted to remove visors but I don't know how to remove the screw/tab holding the rod in place. Help?

If you removed the trim around the windshield, then the sealer you see is what holds and seals the windshield in place. You shouldn't try to remove it yourself. Go to a "Safe-lite" glass or one of the local glass company's around you. They should be able to just squirt some more in there to seal it up again...

And someone else will have to help you with the sun visors, I haven't tackled that project yet...

D-dawg: I saw the black sealer holding the glass in place, but that's not the sealer I mean. The trim piece had chunks of what looked like old, solid w/s. The other chunks were in the groove? that runs parallel with windshield side. It almost looks like a backup seal to the sealant squirted under the glass.
