Man it's been so quite you should be able to hear crickets when you log onto the board. Where did everyone go. I have been checking a few times a day for about a week.........nothing. :(

The "crickets" are frying in North Texas right now, but car show season is upon us anyway. Maybe the others got lost?

I know I'm not lost. Just being busy with shows and projects. Can't even have the time to slow down until this coming weekend. Is it here yet?

Don't worry, I'm keeping an eye on all of you, just been busy on other forums, and running our local vette forum...

I did drop my CE off at a shop in Phoenix this saturday, they are working on the AC, and replacing all the bushings to tighten up the suspension, plus an alignment....

Browse back to last years "Chirp-Chirp-Chirp" thread from the Dawg.. Same thing happens over the summer..

For my part: Sweating my derriere off.
Had the chance to drive the car in a thunderstorm 2 weeks ago (went really well, not too much drippage; the sound of water shooting out from under those wheelwells when you plow into a flooded road, is impressive  ), and once just cruising to work and to a friend and home. Made me happy, had the car car out more then in the last year combined.. After getting the rad & water pump replaced she runs cool in almost all weather. Amazing what new gear can do.. She hasnt been out of the 120F region yet, even at 95F out. :D

Now, no chance, as my AC still isnt fixed..

Other priorities abound, still trying to sell the house, having an almost 2 year cutie to take care of. And on and on..

Just keep on driving.. 8) 8)

:wave

I took the CE for it's first good run on Sunday with the local club....did a little over 250 km. Nice & tight, shifts nice, no problems or weird noises. All the temps are fine. :D
It was the first time I brought the CE out to a club function, no one knew we even had it.
It attracted a lot of attention, especially when I popped the rear hatch. 8)

It's great to see you and others enjoy the vette. That must of been an awesome surprise for the club seeing it with you.

Yeah I thought of the "chirp chirp" thread when I saw this one started..

It's good to see you guys out driving your CE's, I can't wait to drive mine with all the new bushings. It should be fun autoXing it this fall with everything tight..

I did the same thing with the SG this spring, new "A" arm bushes, springs, U & L ball joints, tie rods, 4 wheel alignment. It made a big difference in the handling.

Hopefully it will get a little cooler here in the midwest for driving and shows.

Well, I'll be driving the quickest red vehicle I have for a week. As others would do when you have tooo many vehicles. I'm putting the vette in the shop so I can replace the starter and rap a heat sheild around the new one. The one I have now gets way hot when I drive the vette for a long period of time and when I shut the vette off and come back in 5 minutes the vette will not start. :( I hate it when we go on treks. Have to leave the vette running or just wait for half hour to let the engine cool down. :( Oh well just another reason to drive the other vehicles. :)
