It will work out as long as the vette gets sold. Then within 12months, another '82 CE will have my name on it. :P I will look for what I had in options or with all options. Manly I get one that the NCM has for the built sheet and Dealership price sheet.

First is to fix the problems... :|

Well, I got to run my CE on a dyno today at a group run we had with the Arizona Corvette Enthusiast At AZ Power & Sound....

I was pretty happy to know that with 118,000 miles, headers, true duals, 85 fuel pump, and a ported intake that I ran 204.60 rwhp / 296.01 rwtq.

There was a bone stock 84 there that ran 169.55 rwhp / 244.05 rwtq. I tried to get him to race for $100.00 but he wouldn't bite... :D

Thanks guys, if any of you get the chance, go to one of your local dyno events, and run yours, it would be nice to have some comparisons to go with... The stock 84 there was about 35 hp less than mine, I guess that is a good representation of what it might be without any modifications...

I do have a motor build in progress, (5 year project lol), I have an early 70's 4 bolt thats bored out 30 over. I will probably go with a 355ci, L79 cam, and some decent heads. I would like to be able to run mid 13's. with the crossfire setup on top.
Just incase some of you guys don't visit the CFI forum, there are two 84 owners that are in the 12's. both have 383 motors with an xram manifold. It's not a true crossfire setup, but close enough for bragging rights...

Maybe I should dyno mine before I sell it!! See how an original crossfire engine runs.

Well I mounted a set of C5 seats in my CE today, I'm not sure what the C5 color is, but I couldn't have asked for the color match to be any closer.
We are going to test them out for now, and possibly get them recovered later in a CE pattern.

I had to mount my C3 sliders on the C5 seat frame, it wasn't to bad, they are aluminum, plus I tapped all the rear mounting holes, so it bolted to the frames just like the original ones did.

Overall the fit is great, they are about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch taller, so being 6'2"+, my head is kind of close to the T Top, if I lean the seat back (where I like it anyway) I can wear my baseball cap with ease...

I had to cut the wiring harness on the drivers seat so I could use the C5 control. I had to splice in the power connection C3 to C5, and also the motor plug C3 to C5, It was pretty easy, 3 motor's, 6 control wires, (of course none of the colors matched) so I just mated one motor up at a time, and it worked good...

Daylight was fading fast so I will get some pictures of them tomorrow...

That's an interesting project. Never thought of doing something like that. Typically it's a wheel swap. Now you've got me thinking outside the box. How did you come across getting C5 seats?

Awaiting for photos.

One of the members of our group put some recaro's in her C5 and I asked if the stock seats were for sale, she sold them to me for $75.00. I see them up for sale on the corvette forum anywhere from about $100 on up so I got them for a decent price, these are just the basic seat, not the super upgrade version....

I think the color match is livable for now, and if our butts like the fit, then later on we can get them recovered in more of a CE fashion...

That looks awsome! They look like they were made for the car. Your steering column looks like it's black. Is that original?

Look at the top picture, it's brown. The bottom pic is off on the brightness setting.

Why the heck are you asking me whats original? I just swapped in a set of C5 seats. So much for getting a NCRS award on my shelf...

I assumed your car was original. Except for your latest installation, of course...Just wondering why the column looked black. Sorry to offend.
