Since I haven't seen many posts on here in a while, thought I send this. I found out that after the winter and leaving my car on trickle charge that after starting it the battery light on the dash was on and the volt meter was only about 12. Battery was only 2 years old. After checking found the problem was a bad alternator. Put a new one in and the light went off and volt meter went back up to 14. Also came to find out that the original alternator in the CE was 70amp. Rebuilt ones are 85amp but are in the 70amp casing.

Thanks for the info..

As a non techy, would that do anything on a car (85amp vs. 70)? I know i am at least on Alt number 3 or 4 (i stopped counting) and my current one had the bearings rebuilt.
