Were Collector Ediiton hard tops ever offered??? I always thought the Bronze tint t tops were the only option. Please advise...

Reading the '82 owners manual and brochure. Your answer CE hard tops/T-Tops ever offered. Yes. The Broze color T-Tops are only special made for the CE. The regular '82's recieved silver/mirrored or painted T-Tops.

Our T-Tops are not painted. Bronze-tinted. They were only specially made just for our CE's. GM ordered them.

I've seen a set of T-Tops being sold on Ebay that were said to be for a 82 CE that matched the Silver-beige metallic finish (painted I guess). So, then, GM did not offer painted T-top for our CE. Correct?

Well, I see what you mean now. Sorry to say those are not ours. Those are modified by someone but they don't look that bad. Looking underneath they have a sheild covering. That we don't have either. You should be looking right through the glass tops.

By the way, did you ask the seller what information he has on the rear tips of the T-Tops? Like I gave you in the last post. That will tell you.

I didn't ask the seller for any info found on the t-tops. I have the original T-tops in which you speak of (bronze tint) on my CE. I just thought these would be nice to have since they would give the CE a rather cool new one piece coupe look Thanks for your help.

Well, they are nice looking. They will keep the inside A/C and temp much cooler then our originals.
