I've heard that the high speed works off a seperate relay and that my problem more than likely is the blower resitor.Does this sound right? anybody been here before?I went ahead and ordered one from Ecklers.Onlt $17.00.

I had the same problem with mine once & had to replace the relay that mounts to the firewall. Took about 2 min. & solved the problem.

The part was cheap so I went with you idea.Didn't work. You are talking about the thing that has some springs on it right?

No, I replaced that part first, and like you, that wasn't the problem. The relay is a small silver doo-hicky that has a small harness plugged into it. It is mounted up near the cowl on the right hand side of the firewall.

I don't have my car here right now so I can't give you an exact location. But it looks like a typical relay.

Sorry, I can't give you any more than that.

blower speed is regulated by that resistor bridge that moutns into the heater box, it's that thing w/ the 2 screws and the connector on top. If you take it out you'll see a couple of springs like the insides of a bread toasters :D each spring is a different resistance and a blower speed setting. Check the connector and wiring, if the blower only works on hi it's a problem w/ that birdge as it only handles all speeds below hi.
