What struts did you buy and where did you get new hinges???? I bought new gas struts but man are they tight and the only good I think they'll do is continue to push the glass back. Right now I have them installed but laying flat in the back (not hooked to the glass).

I have put wrist guards on the ends to keep it from scratching the glass as a short term fix, but would like to get them working soon. Not to metion the T handle that fell off from me pulling on the cable.

I would be interested in seeing the thread on how to reinstall the t handle and the hinges properly.

Jeff

I'm glad all the hinges from Steve are working so well. I bought a set from him but I'm not going to bother installing them until the final restoration stages so it is great to hear they work as nicely as they look!!

82 Sharkman, here is a link to the struts you are interested in. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1982-cor ... enameZWDVW

I installed them at the same time I installed the hinges. The fit and operation are perfect. The vendors name is Pete and he is very easy to deal with.

I'm going on a run to nags head NC the weekend of the 10th of March with my club. We will be in the St. Patty's day parade there. I'll do my best to represent the 82CE community.

thanks for the link! Now if I can just get some new hinges.

Mike,

As awlays you are the MAN! I have put my name down for a set of black ones. I looked at mine this weekend whild installing the new vents. Turned out nice but never could figure out how to get the dash off, so I just pulled the portion out as far as I could and finally was able to install them.

It's coming togther!

Jeff
