Have you seen the link to an e-bay auction for 82 CE hinges.Found the link over on the corvette forum.I don't know how to post a link.Guy says he is parting out an 82CE with 12K miles.I think he asking $450.00 and you still don't know if there in spec or not.

Hey Copter,
Yeah, that guy is parting out a Collector with 12,000 miles on it ,and in my opinion, he is way over priced on some of the components.Maybe someone who needs original parts for a "Bloomington Gold" entry will pay the price he wants but I don't need anything that badly. I did e-mail him earlier, before he posted the hinges on e-bay and he gave me a better price and I threw it out to the forum and we decided that even with only 12,000 miles on the hinges they are still 23 years old and not worth the price because like you said, you don't know if they are still close to spec.

I'll have to find his auctions, but I bet he is way overpriced for my wallet.

I almost think that any hinge that has been installed will be out of spec, even with the window closed there is pressure on the hinges from the struts. They are pushing against the glass all the time, and with it closed they are at the greatest pressure since they are collapsed.

I have been slowly working on the CAD drawing, but I have so many pots in the fire I have been doing a lot of 18 to 20 hour days just to keep up. All I can say is when my head hits the pillow, I'm out in minutes.
