Ok if you want some facts about any seat covers and a person on any seat. It's like the same as time does to anything. The seats will have cracks and rub what ever you put on them. All you can do is to slow this process up. Any leather protector will help. Just use what you think will do the job. I use Mequire's leather cleaner and protector for shows. While I drive my vette I use a towel and rap it around tieing it up so it doesn't fall or move much. Most of all I don't put anything in my back pocket to puncher the leather seats.
If your worried about keeping the new ones looking good how about purchasing two seats and use one for shows. Just a thought.

The original seats have worn equally, so I don't think I'd use the new driver side one for shows...I'd hate to keep removing them after each show. But, it remains a possibility.
