Greetings to all-
I rebuilt my crossfire unit and it WASrunning fine! I then put the car on jackstands to begin disassembly process. I replaced EGR valve w/ non-AC Delco unit & then it wouldn't start. I assume there should be some fuel coming from the injectors when starting, which there was not. One thing I noticed about the foreign EGR valve was the opening on the bottom of the unit, as it did not have the extended "collar?" that inserts into the intake plate like the original does. Would that have a bearing on anything?

Any thoughts?

The EGR will not cause your vette to not start.

First off, are you showing any codes on the CEL?

Also, do you hear the fuel pump run the 2 second prime when you first turn on the key?

If I remember correctly, the injectors will not fire until they see rotation at the distributer, did you leave one of the wires disconnected?
Do a little investigating, and report back.
