Well I took my Vette into the body shop today to have the hood redone.I'm going with paint.My body guy says he can do it no problem.

While mine was a little off on color, and the fade was to far forward. I loved the shine that was possible after the paint.

You can't get this with the decals.....

Yeah,I allways thought that looked great.Did he paint the pin stripes also?

Yep the hood stripes were also painted on, but the painter also faded the stripe in front just like the center section. The good thing was the hood stripes were under the clear so cleaning and waxing were a snap.
The rest of the vette had conventional vinyl pin stripes stuck on after the clear coat.

I just restriped my whole car a few months ago.You could really tell how much the orginals had faded.Looks great, but that hood was something I couldn't take on.This really isn't costing me anything.My wifes Grand cherokee got dented by someone pulling out of their parking spot at the store.No note or anything.Well the ins money we got will pay for the dents on the Jeep and with the money left over I get my hood done!!!!!!
