A friend on the other website i go to found this lovely thing:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1979-Che ... 0106436894

I claim this to be a 82CE, not a 79. But there is no VIN#.. What say you ?

Sure looks like a CE. Interior is definitely CE. Body has obviously been modified so that doesn't tell us much, but it does have the opening hatch. No way to tell for sure from that information and those pictures, but I agree with you... it's more likely than not that it's a CE.

Sent a message to the seller requesting a VIN. Note the 82 Collector emblems front and rear. Here is the same car shown in Greenwood Corvettes site and is listed as a 1982 Greenwood Aftermarket Kit.

This is the SAME car, note the building in the background showing the same as in the eBay photos.
Seller obviously does not know the year model or origin of the car, wonder if he has a title for it???

That is a nice vette.

A 1979... Hmmm... Good touch up on all the items as ours. Rear Hatch too.

My state says 'No Vin no sale!'. They need a Vin to recognize it as a vehicle.

Ebay question and answer....
Does this car have a greenwood build sheet or vin plate that shows if was built by Greenwood Apr-05-07
A: Hi, I asked my Dad and he doesn't have either but said to look on greenwoodcorvette.com and go to turbo GT and look up the history and that is how that car is built and you can go to the gallery and see a picture of the car. Thanks!

Mostly if Greenwood says they have information on it why doesn't the owner get it him/her self or have some kind of papers on the sell:?: :?

Besides check out the engine and bay area. Wouldn't that both areas be like brand new :!: :!: I see the A/C and Brakes look veery dirty compared to the chrome items. :?

It is a nice Vette. Not to fond of the body kit, never have been.I really like the side gills. It has a CE interior but they say it's a 79.I might even go for the body kit if they loose the rear spolier.Wish we knew what the VIN IS!!!! It's got the 80-82 front.I don't think it's a 79

Almost everything says CE on that car except:
30 spoke rims instead of 36 spoke
speedo
motor
exhaust
body kit
All of these things are easy to swap.

It has the hatch, bronze t-tops, emblems, complete CE interior. correct colors.

Theres no way that is a 79.

Look at the address to the pictures on the greenwood site.....
ww.greenwoodcorvettes.com/Replicas/turbogold82rear.jpg
Why would they call it a replica if it was originally built by greenwood?????

Now heres the bad part, he has a set of Steves hinges..... So he might be reading this....

Wouldnt be bad, it would just prove my point..

I'm not razzing on the seller, it just made me go "mmmhhh". It's his reputation, not mine. If he/she does read this and wants to clarify what is and isnt true, i would actually welcome that.
