My clear coat is starting to crack right on my hood fade.The fade is fine just the clear.The painter said he could respray the clear for $127.00.What do you think? |

That's pretty cheap, unless he is just going to re-clear the hood... You might want to talk to him about clearing the whole car, it might cost more now, but it might be worth it in the long run. |

Have you cleared over the decal or have you had your fade painted and then cleared? I have mine in the paint shop at the moment having a complete respray with all of the fades painted on and cleared over the whole lot . I decided to paint the fades to eliminate the decal cracking problem , If you have painted your fades and now the clear is cracking , that is a bit concerning. |
