| Post subject: | Spare Tire Carrier Color? |
Hello everyone, and thanks in advance for your help and suggestions! I am thinking about cleaning up the carrier and repainting as part of some other general spiffing up, and wondering what the original color is or what others have used that gives a good look for this part. It is now some kind of kind of flat dark gray color and I'm not sure if thats what it started as. |

Hi Rick, Mine's the same. Kind of a dark gray fiberglass material. I had some rust on the "Y" strap, so I removed the rivets and painted the metal. Looks fine now. I live in New England, can't wait to get the Vette out of storage. The winter is just too long in this part of the US. Regards, Tom |

Yep,checked mine out and it looks to be a flat gray also.Tom what state in New England are you located? Jules |

Just cleaned mine and its grey also. (that was after I cleaned out 20 years of dust and rocks. Spare was flat and except for being really dirty, doesn't look like it ever saw the ground.) |
