I purchased my set from Ralph at Stencils and Stripes back in 1998.... Still in the original tube.... Just needed a few beers to get up the nerve knowing that I mistake can cost the entire set.....which was $1,500 back then too!

For a $1,500 set, I think it's going to take a little more than a few beers for me to try...

I've got many small spider cracks throughout my hood decal and I'd love to replace it. I've seen aftermarket replacement decals for around $350 or so. But I don't have the talent or patience to remove the old decal and try to get the new one in place.

I know this is kinda off the topic, but before i bought mine, it had been repainted and the guy just redid the pinstriping, not the hood decal. I do like it as it stands out as mine.. But, i would certainly look into having it painted on if i wanted to get it done. The side decals on mine are painted and they're smoooth..

I used the Phoenix Grapics replaacement decal with great results. I took the old one off with a hair dryer and a small plastic scraper. It took me 14 hours to remove the old decal as you have to have the heat just right to peel off the decal without tearing it in small chuncks.
I had a detailer put my new one on but after seeing him do it, I would do it next time.
