I noticed that on the dealer order my CE came with 14KG plated keys and nameplate. I have the original keys and you can just see a small amount of gold plating left in the cracks and edges. I have no idea where the nameplate was located.Anyone else have this feature or able to shed some light on the subject?
My CE is a CDN car ordered from Westgate Chev in Edmonton. Many Thanks

A photo would help of each and where the name plate is. To my knowledge, not sure on the key but the name plate I sure don't have one in my vette (USA). I also haven't seen in any either. :?

I am not sure whether my keys are original, but they sure dont have any gold on them.

Nameplate: Does Canada require the VIN plate in the engine bay ? Reason i am asking is: In Germany, when my car was imported, the TUeV requires a VIN Plate in the engine bay/body, thats lists the vin#, make, manufacturer etc etc.. Maybe thats what they are talking about ? "Nameplate" = VIN Plate ?
But i am guessing here..

I can take a pic of mine to make it clearer, if you guys think it'll help.

I'm guessing it was some sort of dealer "special" As I said there is a small amount of gold plating left on the keys but no sign of a gold name plate. Maybe it came seperate from the car and has been lost over time and other owners. I was curious to see if I could find out what it said and if it was specific to all CE's, Canadian CE's or just this dealer.

My CE is an original Canadian car from Shaganappi Chev Olds here in Calgary with 31000 km (15000miles) on it. I have the NCM build sheet & window decal plus the original bill of sale....no mention of gold keys & there isn't any name plate on the car either.
