My clear coat is starting to crack right on my hood fade.The fade is fine just the clear.The painter said he could respray the clear for $127.00.What do you think?

That's pretty cheap, unless he is just going to re-clear the hood...

You might want to talk to him about clearing the whole car, it might cost more now, but it might be worth it in the long run.

Have you cleared over the decal or have you had your fade painted and then cleared?
I have mine in the paint shop at the moment having a complete respray with all of the fades painted on and cleared over the whole lot . I decided to paint the fades to eliminate the decal cracking problem , If you have painted your fades and now the clear is cracking , that is a bit concerning.
